Ecocriticism Course: Development of English Pre-service Teachers' Pedagogical Content Knowledge of Sustainability

Abstract To address a paucity of knowledge on way to enhance pedagogical content sustainability (PCKS), the authors study developed an ecocriticism course and investigated its impact English pre-service teachers' PCKS. A mixed-method convergent research design was employed. Forty-seven teachers at one education departments in Indonesia joined received pre- post-questionnaire survey They were also required generate instructional ideas related environmental end open-ended questionnaire. The questionnaire data analyzed using paired-sample t-test analysis. results informed that PCKS, create provide learning opportunities for learners learners' capacity, course. Accordingly, orient teacher institutions towards sustainability, is suggested integrate into curriculum.
